Santa…I Tried!

Welcome Everyone;

September is here and the HH Divas have an array of Fall, Halloween and Christmas cards as our daily inspiration here.

Poor Goliath, he has had a  bit of a tricky time trying to explain to Santa, that his well intention plans of being good and helpful to him have gone a tad astray.  I have no doubt that Goliath Christmas Mouse (High Hopes Stamps) will get it all sorted out eventually.

As I had coloured Goliath with a gray and a warm gray I wasn’t sure which one I should use, so I used both to create two CAS cards.  A start to my Christmas collection of cards.  I used different dies and twine also.

Welcome Everyone;

It is never too early to start making Christmas cards.  When I saw this Cardinal in High Hopes Stamps Summer2020 release, I knew I would be creating a Christmas card with it.  I have always associated cardinals with Christmas.  What the association with Christmas is, I’m not sure.

After the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out with a Double In and Out Stitched Square Die.  I added a gold border using some Peel Off Stickers.  Some Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops and Nuvo Fresh Snowfall Glitter Accents to finish the card off.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Cardinal (TLF017) – Summer Release 2020 – High Hopes StampsHoliday All Year (H200) — High Hopes Stamps

Miss You!

Hi Everyone;

It seems like it has been forever since this pandemic began and everyone has be at home and confined to home, except for groceries and necessary appointments.

Needless to say, we have all missed our everyday lives as we knew them to be.  No chats with colleagues at work,  not hearing the joys of children playing  and time with our families.

With this in mind, I have used the cute Flower Gnome and Miss You (Part of the Mini Sentiment Set #1) both from the Summer 2020 release for High Hopes Stamps to create this CAS card.

Hi Everyone;

We are now officially half way through the year and some restrictions are being lifted.  Hopefully, they will be able to stay in place and this will become the new normal; — time will tell.

This might cheer people up — High Hopes Stamps has a brand new Summer 2020 Release.  For today’s card I have used the adorable Willa with a Flower.  After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using the Stitched Ovals from Tutti Designs.  Using the larger size of the same die, I cut out two pieces of mulberry paper — my stash of this awesome paper is low and I have had no luck in finding any stores that stock it.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Will with a Flower (SLF008) and Get Well Wishes Scripts (H067) — High Hopes Stamps

You’re My Little Cuppy-Cake!

Welcome Everyone;

Another month is over and it is hard to believe after weeks of  working and schooling from home, our communities are slowly beginning to open a bit more.  The children are also celebrating the new normal for the summer break.

For today’s card, I’m using the adorable Sitting Party Buddy from High Hopes Stamps, who is definitely celebrating.  After colouring the image with copic markers, I cut him out using the Distress Rectangles Die from Spellbinders.  Instead of using multiple design paper, I used a piece of Emerald Waterfall from Deco Foil with a sheet of “Where’s the Party” foil mate from Gina K Designs and ran this through my MINC Machine.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps: Sitting Party Buddy (S196), Cuppa-Cake (F222) — High Hopes Stamps
  • Paper:  Dots & Stripes Gingham – Spring (Echo Park); Deco Foil – Emerald Waterfall, Where’s the Party – Foil Mate from Gina K. Designs

Welcome Everyone:

The weather has definitely been better and summer is approaching.  This means that more time can be spent at the various beaches.  One of the best things to do during this time is to go to the beaches, play in the sand, make sand castles and just walk along the beaches feeling the sand between your toes….

Welcome All;

Another month is almost over, and we are all still at home.  Even though summer is approaching we are still advised against having family gatherings.  A hard thing to do as we all want to be outside and enjoying ourselves along with family and friends.

For today’s post I used the magical Henry the Great from High Hopes Stamps.  After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using the Wonky Stitched Squares Die.  The piece of white on the left hand side does have a pattern on it, but unfortunately the photo doesn’t pick up the design very well.  Some YNS Gumdrops finish off the design.
