No Bones About It…..

Hi Folks;

As Valentine’s day is almost here, I thought it was time to make a Valentine’s Day card.  There is no doubt that High Hopes Stamps has some very cute images that make great Valentine cards.

Now as I know a few people that have dogs and puppies as pets, No Bones Doggy would be just perfect for the card.

After stamping the image onto friendly copic paper, I coloured it with Copic Markers.  I used a Spellbinders Labels die to cut the image out.  Using Mulberry Paper, I cut some small hearts out and added a jewel to the center.

Supplies used:

  • Stamp:  No Bones Doggy (M131) — High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, Mulberry Paper
  • Copic Markers:

Shower of Love

Hi HH Fans;

Another week has gone by, and for today’s card I’m using the adorable Shower of Love Teddy from High Hopes Stamps.  Teddy is definitely ready to share some, and who knows we can certainly all do with some.

After colouring the stamped image with Copic Markers, I used a Single Stitched Line Tag Corner Rectangle to cut it out. The hearts on the left hand side were cut out using a Stitched Nesting Heart Die and some Strawberry Coulis Nuvo Jewel Drops were used along the stitched line.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off this very CAS card.

I Love You!

Hi HH Fans;

February is just around the corner and so is Valentine’s Day.

According to Wikepedia, Valentine’s Day originated as a  Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world. Even though it isn’t a public holiday, it is still celebrated on February 14th, and many Valentine’s Day cards are given out by children and adults alike.  Some as secret admirers.

For today’s card I have used the adorable Kitty’s Heart Frame paired with I love You! both from High Hopes Stamps.  After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I fuzzy cut it. I stamped the image again and cut around the heart shape and then used that mask to cut another heart using some mulberry paper.  A heart die was used with another piece of mulberry paper.  Some ribbon and enamel dots finished off the card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Kitty’s Heart Frame – S171, I love You! – D004 both from High Hopes Stamps
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP – Love Me – My Mind’s Eyes, Mulberry Paper
  • Copic Markers:
    • W00 – Warm Gray No. 00, W1 – Warm Gray No. 1, W2 – Warm Gray No. 2, W3 – Warm Gray No. 3
    • R11 – Pale Chery Pink, R20 – Blush
    • R85 – Rose Red, R83 – Rose Mist, R81 – Rose Pink
    • R46 – Strong Red, R29 – Lipstick Red, R27 – Cadmium Red
  • Die:  Stitched Nesting Hearts — Tutti Designs
  • Zig Wink of Stella – Clear
  • Miscellaneous:  Ribbon, Enamel Dots

Lenny’s Loves Me Knots…..

Hi OCS and HH fans;

As Valentine’s Day is almost here, I couldn’t resist using Lenny’s Love Me Knots, from High Hopes Stamps. It reminds me of the game we would play as children — picking the petals off while saying “He Loves Me, he loves me not….

This is a CAS card. After stamping Lenny, I coloured him with alcohol markers.  The small hearts were from a die.
