Hugs to Cheer You!

Welcome OCS and HH Fans;

A few months ago, I set a personal challenge to try and use a different technique or medium every week. Well it started out well, but kinda went by the wayside lately.

For today’s card, I used a Flowered Circle Luxury Cardlayer top that was in my stash. I used these a few years ago. Violet and Green Sulky Thread was used to do the stitching.

After stamping the Pretty Gladiolas (TT110) stamp from High Hopes Stamps, I coloured it using Derwent Inktense Pencils.   Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops were added to the gladiolas.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Pretty Gladiolas, Hugs to Cheer You! (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Staz on Jet Black
  • Paper:  Strathmore Watercolor Paper; DP – Watercolor Washes (Lawn Fawn)
  • Derwent Inktense Pencils:  081 – Light Violet, 080 – Violet, 047 – May Green, 048 – Emerald Green
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops: Morning Dew
  • Doodey Luxury Cardlayers – Flowered Circle 1
  • Sulky Thread: Violet, Green
  • Embellishments: Miscellaneous Pearls

Another Year Wiser

Welcome OCS and HH Fans;

Have you ever had one of those times when you had envisioned something completely different as to how the card turned out.  Well, this is the case for today’s card.  After a couple of mishaps and completely not what I had in mind, I’m happy with how it turned out.

After colouring Waving Owl with Copic Markers, I cut it out using a circle die.  To get the effect of the circle die sitting inside the hexagon, I put the same size circle inside the hexagon die and cut them out together.  This allowed Waving Owl to sit inside the hexagon.

Thank you for being a friend…

Welcome OCS and HH Fans;

There is nothing more special in life than to have the unconditional love of a true friendship from friends and family.  It is the friends that we meet along this life’s path that help us with our daily journey

Kovu and Leo, from High Hopes Stamps are the best of friends traveling together and enjoying the journey.

After stamping Kovu and Leo, I coloured them with Copic Markers. and used Prismacolor Pencils to add some highlights.

Lenny’s Loves Me Knots…..

Hi OCS and HH fans;

As Valentine’s Day is almost here, I couldn’t resist using Lenny’s Love Me Knots, from High Hopes Stamps. It reminds me of the game we would play as children — picking the petals off while saying “He Loves Me, he loves me not….

This is a CAS card. After stamping Lenny, I coloured him with alcohol markers.  The small hearts were from a die.

Top10 Favourites of 2018

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and enjoyable time with family and friends.

This week the design team is showing their top 10 favourite cards of 2018.  This is such a hard thing to do as High Hopes Stamps have such a large range of versatile stamps — easy to find the perfect stamp for the card, but very hard to pick favourites from what have been made.

I finally got it whittled down, much like reducing the Christmas wish list for Santa.  Below are my 10 favourites.

Birthday Buzzard

Mary Angel

Wizard in Training

Blooming Friends

Saucy Sam

Flyin’ High Santa

Bat Friends

 Penguin’s Pasttime

Nr ^ Nrs Claus

Snowbear Friends

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.  Happy New Year and all the best in the future.
