Sending Hugs and Kisses…..

Hi Everyone;

We are now officially half way through the year and some restrictions are being lifted.  Hopefully, they will be able to stay in place and this will become the new normal; — time will tell.

This might cheer people up — High Hopes Stamps has a brand new Summer 2020 Release.  For today’s card I have used the adorable Willa with a Flower.  After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using the Stitched Ovals from Tutti Designs.  Using the larger size of the same die, I cut out two pieces of mulberry paper — my stash of this awesome paper is low and I have had no luck in finding any stores that stock it.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Will with a Flower (SLF008) and Get Well Wishes Scripts (H067) — High Hopes Stamps
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP — Dandy Days & Speckles both from Lawn Fawn; Mulberry Paper

Welcome Everyone:

The weather has definitely been better and summer is approaching.  This means that more time can be spent at the various beaches.  One of the best things to do during this time is to go to the beaches, play in the sand, make sand castles and just walk along the beaches feeling the sand between your toes….

Be My Valentine!

Welcome Everyone;

After stamping the image on XPress It Blending Cardstock, I coloured it with Copic Markers.  I then cut it out using the Spellbinders Square Die and then mounted it on the Squares Hearts that I rotated.

Christmas Joy

Welcome HH and OCS fans;

We can’t win with the weather, if it isn’t freezing cold, it is raining cats and dogs and then there is the never ending heat wave.  As we are currently in the midst of a heat wave, what better way of cool off than by creating Christmas cards in July.

Yes it is 5 months before Christmas, but it is a great time to start the stash that will be needed for when Christmas does arrive.

For today’s card I have used Christmas Joy Snowy from High Hopes Stamps.  I usually don’t do an inside for the card, but I did this time using the sentiment Sparkle & Cheer also from High Hopes Stamps.

Inside of card

Spring Follows!

Welcome HH and OCS Fans;

It seems that winter doesn’t want to go away for now…. but it will and spring will follow.  I can’t wait for Spring to really arrive.  It is one of my favourite seasons as it signifies new beginnings — grass starts to grow, leaves sprout on the trees, flowers start to bloom, and mother nature with baby bunnies, birds and other wildlife.  It is an uplifting time of the year for me.

For today’s card, I have used the High Hopes Stamps called Garden Gate Background, Landing Birdie and Spring Follows.  The Garden Gate Background  and Landing Birdie were coloured with Copic Markers. I fuzzy cut the Landing Birdie (I definitely need to get a Brother Scan & Cut).  My original intention was to put Birdie on a wobble, but even the mini wobble was too big.  I added a layer of glue dots to build it up a bit, so it gives the appearance that he is not flat against the gate.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Garden Gate Background (U012), Landing Birdie (H185), Spring Follows (LL009) all from High Hopes Rubber Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP – Spring Plaid (Lawn Fawn)
  • Copic Markers:
    • E21 – Baby Skin Pink, E23 – Hazelnut, E25 – Caribe Cocoa, E27 – Africano, E29 – Burnt Umber, E30 – Bisque, E31 – Brick Beige, E40 – Brick white, E41 – Pearl White – E42 – Sand White
    • YG11 – Mignonette, YG12 – Chartreuse
    • BV000 – Iridescent Mauve, BV00 – Mauve Shadow, BV01 – Viola
    • Y17 – Golden Yellow, Y19 – Napoli Yellow, YR16 – Apricot
    • B000 – Pale Porcelain Blue, B00 – Frost Blue, B21 – Baby Blue, B23 – Phthalo Blue
    • N0- Neutral Gray No. 0, N2 – Neutral Gray No. 2
  • Your Next Stamps Gumdrops
  • Lawn Fawn Hemp
  • Zig Wink of Stella – Clear

Christmas Joy

I don’t know about you, but I have always associated gingerbread with Christmas.  The fresh aroma of gingerbread cooking seems to feel the air with the Christmas spirit and joy.

For today’s card I have used the adorable Ginger Family in Heart.  I coloured the image with copics and added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze and Nuvo Glitter Accents Fresh Snowfall.  The embellishments on the side are from BoBunny’s Christmas Wood shapes and were coloured with some  Zig Wink of Stella Pens. I then used a Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pen to add some glitter.
