“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!”

Hi there;

I am back with another post for this week for OCS.  Christmas Eve has finally arrived and the children will all be in bed eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus.  For my card today, I just had to use Santa Bob from the “Joys of the Seasons” release by High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

As I wanted the whole sheet of design paper to be seen, I only used a red card stock for the base of the card and no other patterned paper.  I also used some of Heidi Swapp’s Minc accessories also.

Supplies used:

Hope you enjoyed the card and as Clement Clarke Moore said in his classic Christmas poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas” — “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight.”

Do have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the time spent with your loved ones.

Think Snow!!!

Well folks, it is now officially winter and in this part of Ontario,  there is not a speck of snow.  Nope;

Nope, non at all, not even a tiny tiny snowflake. Leanne and Shari how about sending some snow from Alberta this way. Maybe some will fall before Christmas Day, if we all Think Think Snow!!.

For my card today, I used this adorable image called Snowman Snowball, from the “Joys of the Seasons” – High Hopes Rubber Stamps latest release.

Merry Christmas Tags

Hi All,

It is Sue here, and I am posting for Shari today at OCS.  I decided to use the Snowman Mini Set from the “Joys of the Seasons” Release from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, to make some Christmas tags.

I used Ranger’s Distress Ink the Winter Set which is composed of Festive Berries, Iced Spruce and Evergreen Bough to create the backgrounds on the tags.  I used the 1/8″ Scor-Pal tape around the edges and at the top just below the hole and used the Glitter Ritz Vintage Christmas Collection which is made up of Frosty Mint, Cranberry and Spruce.

Think Snow

Christmas is ten days away and there is absolutely no snow in sight; not even one tiny flake.  I don’t know about you, but Christmas always needs some snow — don’t need a lot, but enough to cover the ground and create a wintery scene.

I have used the image called Polar Hug from the Joys of the Seasons release from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

Merry Christmas Joy Ride!!!

Tuesday is here again, and Christmas will be here in approximately 17 days and there is no snow in sight.  Hopefully, some will come before then to create a winter wonderland for Santa.  For my post today, I have used the stamp called Joy Ride, from the “Joys of  the Seasons” which is the latest release from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I added Be Creative Sookwang Tape around the outside edge of the card base then added Glitter Ritz.  The same was done around the sentiment.  Frosted Lace Stickles was used around the trim of the hats, and mitts.

Cascade Card Tutorial

Tuesday is here again and for today’s post I have a Cascade Card Tutorial.  I originally saw this tutorial on Beccy’s Place.  It is a rather unique shape and does make a rather nice card if you are looking for something different.

Outside of Card

Inside of Card

Supplies used:

Step 1:  Take a 12″ x 12″ piece of cardstock and cut it to be 6″ x 12″.

tutorial_step_1
Step 2:  Starting from the left hand side and on the long side score at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″.  Fold in along the scorelines as mountain, valley, valley and mountain.

tutorial_step_2
Step 3:  Measure 2″ down from the top left hand corner of the card.  Draw a line from the mark that was just made to the top of the 4″ score line.  Do the same on the right hand side using the top of the 8″ scoreline.  Cut along both of these lines.  Keep both pieces.

Step 4:  Design Paper Preparation.  Whatever design paper you decide to use, cut 1 piece to be 5 3/4″ x 3 3/4″.  This is to be used for the inside middle part of the card.  Cut 4 pieces of paper to be 5 3/4″ x 1 3/4″.  Use the triangular off cuts to get the correct angles for the strips and make sure that you trim the panels in the right direction

tutorial_step_5

The image Penquin Love, was coloured with Copic Markers.  Polar White Flower Soft was used on the trim of the hats.  The image was then fuzzy cut and mounted to the middle panel.  The sentiment was added to the left front panel.  Faux Snow was also added to the middle panel.

Until next time, keep crafting.

Jingle Bells….

Another week has gone by and for my post today, I have used three stamps from High Hopes Rubber Stamps  newest release “Joys of the Seasons“.  I also created a couple of embellishments using the Heidi Swapp Minc machine.

snowmen
I used a piece of holographic reactive foil with a transfer sheet and ran this through the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine and used a snowflake punch to make the snowflake.  I did the same with the green foil for the holly leaves but used a holly leaves punch.  The Heidi Swapp minc machine is great tool to have among your supplies.  So many things can be done with it and this journey has only begun.
