Happy Holidays

Welcome Everyone;

I hope you all have had a good week and that the everyday events that happen, haven’t driven you crazy.

For today’s post, I have used Snowmen Stocking from High Hopes Stamps latest release called “Woodsy Christmas“.

Since redoing my craft room and having supplies not hidden as they were (drawers and supplies are now labelled), I have set a weekly challenge for myself —

  1. to use different colouring mediums as well as
  2. try a new technique
  3. incorporate a different embellishment

The goal is to do or use at least one different thing or item. No doubt I will use some products more then once in a month.  As there are 52 weeks in a year, that is 52 challenges — hmm — we shall see how far we get lol.

I stamped the image on a piece of XPress It Blending Cardstock and coloured it with Copic Markers.  A silver snowflake peel off border was used on each side.  Nuvo Crystal Glaze was used to fill the stars, while Nuvo Glitter Drops (White Blizzard) was used for the trim on the stocking and the snowman’s hat.  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Gloss Simply White) were used in the corners.

Little Reader Trio……

Welcome OCS and HH fans;

Have you ever wondered what else you can do with a stamp.  I love it when a stamp is very versatile and multiple items can be created with.  Such is the case with my post for today.  Using the Little Reader from High Hopes Stamps, I made a set which includes a card, a bookplate and a bookmark.

The Little Reader was stamped three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on XPress It Blending Cardstock and coloured with Copic Markers.  I found a quote by Dr. Seuss as well as an Anonymous quote that fit very well with what I was wanting to achieve.

Card

Bookplate

For the Bookplate, I used another High Hopes Stamp, called Book Belongs To and cut the image out using  the Spellbinders Labels Seven die, which is shaped like an open book. I added a peel off strip to create a border.

Bookmark

The bookmark is 2 1/2″ by 6 1\2″.  I used the same green cardstock that was used for the card and bookplate.  The darker green paper has a shimmer to it and is from my stash of paper that I got on a trip to England a few years ago.  The image and sentiment were both cut using the Spellbinders Large Labels die, with the 2nd quote mounted between the two. Small Rhinestones were added to the corners, along with some green and white twine.

So Precious!!

Hi Everyone;

It is another Wacky Wednesday and mother nature seems out of synch with the weather.  Sunday was a beautiful Spring Day and yesterday it snowed; it seems winter came back.  Wish Spring and Summer would hurry up and come — I certainly hope that summer will not be as extreme as winter has been.

For today’s post for One Crazy Stamper, I have used this adorable image from Wild Rose Studio called Bella Sleeping; a perfect image to welcome a new addition to a family.

There is still plenty of time to play along at OCS‘s “Anything Goes Challenge” this month; please do not use a digital image for a change to win a YNS prize pack.  Also check out Lora’s store OCS for some amazing products and prices.

Until next time, keep crafting!

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone;

For today’s post for One Crazy Stamper, I did a card using the Susan’s Garden die called Mini Lily die by Sissix.  This is a follow up to the tutorial I did last week.

thinking

I stitched two card layers and put the one on the inside of the card.  I then trimmed a bit of f the card front

so that the stitching could be seen.   To make the decorative edge, I used a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice edge punch.  I made the lilies the same way as I did in last week’s Card Layers and Susan’s Garden Tutorial.  Butterfly peel off stickers were added and coloured with Sakura Gellyroll Stardust pens.  Finally I added the “Thinking of You” which is also a peel off sticker.
