Sweet Heart Owls…

Welcome OCS and HH Fans;

It is time to start building up a stash of general everyday and every occasion type of cards.  As my daughter’s wedding anniversary is coming up, I thought I would start with an anniversary card.

For today’s card, I used the adorable Sweet Heart Owls from High Hopes Stamps. After stamping the image, I coloured it with Spectrum Noir Pencils. The heart in the upper corner is a wooden shape, that I coloured with Nuvo Persian Red Embellishment Mousse.  I then added some rhinestones to finish it off.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Sweet Heart Owls, Happy Anniversary (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Staz-on Jet Black
  • Paper: Neenah Classic Crest White, DP — Romance (Whimsy Stamps) — I don’t think it is in stock any more
  • Spectrum Noir Pencils:
    • Essentials Set:  015, 020, 003, 004, 005, 009, 089, 091, 095
    • Nature Set:  090, 094,103
    • Primaries Set: 024, 066
  • Dies:  Floating Hearts Die, Peek a Boo Heart Door Die (YNS), Oval Stitched Die
  • Nuvo Embellishment Mousse:  Persian Red
  • YNS Gumdrops:  Cupid

That’s what friends are for…..

Welcome back for another crazy week and I mean it is crazy.  Christmas is 5 days away and I for one am not ready at all; shopping still to do, presents to wrap, the house is a mess and it goes on.  The good thing is that the dryer is finally fixed after three weeks, but the dishwasher now needs fixing as it has a mysterious error message.  Oh the trials of going crazy.

Anyway for my post today here at OCS, I have used the adorable stamp called “Seeds of Friendship” from the latest release of High Hopes Stamps called Woodland Friends.  I added some Flower Soft to the rabbits’ tails and used Snow Writer to add some snow.

There is still plenty of time to enter this month’s challenge “Always Friends”, for a chance to win 2 unmounted High Hopes Stamps of your choice.

Another Year Wiser…

Happy Tuesday OCS Fans;

Hope you all had a good weekend and had a great Mother’s Day on Sunday.  For my post today, I have used Happy Owl from the Owl Collection of the High Hopes Stamps Spring 2016 Collection.

I only used only the .07 pt svg files for the images and both the .07 pt and .14 pt svg file for the sentiment.  I mounted Happy with an Action wobble, so that he would move.  Fruit Punch Stickles was added to the flower centers.

‘Owl’ always love you…….

Hi Crafty Peeps;

No doubt you  have all seen the pre-orders that Lora has up on the OCS website.  Sugar Hollow from Heartfelt Creations has arrived, and there is no doubt that this set is really cute and fun to play with.  For my post today, I have used some stamps and a die from this collection.  For the first card, I used the matching die to cut the owls out, and fuzzy cut the owls in the nest.  Both of these were mounted with pop dot adhesives.

Witchy Poo Stirring Brew!!!

Hi Fellow Crafters;

Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and had a good Thanksgiving with family.  Halloween will soon be here, and I have used an older High Hopes Rubber Stamp called “Witchy Poo Stirring Brew

for today’s post.  I thought I would try and make her look a bit funky.. I’m not sure whether I did or not.  I coloured in non traditional witch colours if there is such a thing.

Peony Posey

Hi Fellow Crafters,

April, is certainly passing quickly and with it we are definitely into Spring with April Showers which will bring May Flowers.

For my post today here at OCS, I have used the new Peony Posey stamp from IndigoBlu.  I used the Spectrum Noir pencils to colour the flowers and then went over them with the Clear Wink of Stella to add a bit of glitter.  Before cutting the photo corners some Stick It Adhesive was added to the back of the cardstock.  This adhesive is great for dies where glue doesn’t work as well.

Have a Great Day!!!

Hi Fellow Crafters;

I hope you all had a good Family Day and enjoyed the time with your family.  The weather is finally warming up for a change after the cold weekend.  Here at OCS, we are having a “Red, White and a Die” challenge and the design team are using the January release of High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

For my post today, I have used the adorable Favourite Honey Bear.  I coloured the image with the Spectrum Noir Pencils, added Ranger Distress Ink to the image.  I hand wrote the sentiment as I didn’t have a suitable sentiment.  The hearts were coloured with a red Stella of Wink, and the clear was used for the honey and flower centers. The mesh was from my stash.
