A little bird…..

Hi Everyone;

Friday is here again and what’s more it’s a long weekend.  This means that there is more time to spend with family as well as more playtime.

This week I went outside of my comfort zone and dug out other dies besides circles, squares and ovals, a cloud stencil and some distress inks.  It has been a long time since I have used these and it is time to use and play with them again.  Oh the possibilities.

For today’s card, I have used the adorable Gotcha and a Bird Told Me; both from High Hopes Stamps.

After stamping and colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using an distress edges die.  Using a mini cloud edges stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Ink, I created some clouds that didn’t quite come out as I was expecting them to.  I definitely need some practice.  The extra grass is from another die that has been unused for a very long time.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Gotcha (R115), Bird Told Me (F251) — High Hopes Stamps

From the Desk of and Spellbinders Bossabilities Product Review

Hi All! For my last birthday card for this month,I have used the stamp From the Desk of by Flourishes and a new Spellbinders product called the M-Bossabilities Embossing Folder.

M-Bossabilities Embossing Folder – Enchanted

enchanted_embossing_folder

These new M-Bossabilities Embossing Folders from Spellbinders are amazing. As each folder has two detailed designs they are reversible and therefore more versatile. They only need to be run through the Cuttlebug once and the recipe is Plate A, cardstock inside the folder, 3 pieces of cardstock as a shim, then plate C (these are the instrustions from Spellbinders). I did it twice; the first time with the shim, and the second time without the shim and achieved the exact same results. It is certainly well worth the money as you get two embossing folders for the price of one.

For the above card I trimmed it down to size and then distressed it using the Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
