Friends are the Best Collectibles

Welcome Everyone;

Beginning in our childhood to adulthood, we have all collected objects whether it be rocks in the garden, shells from a beach, our favourite books, pieces of art etc.  However, there is really only one type of collectibles that qualifies to be the “Best Collectibles” and that is the friends we meet throughout our life’s  journey.

For today’s card, I have used the adorable Lasso Some Snow stamp from High Hopes StampsWinter Friends Release and paired it with the Best Collectibles sentiment.  Innstead of lassoing the snow, he is rounding up some friends.

After stamping the image onto XPress It Blending cardstock, I coloured it with Copic Markers, and then cut it out using a Spellbinders Square Die.  The mat behind the image was cut using a Double Stitched Square Die.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off the card.

Friendship Warms the Heart

Welcome Everyone;

One of my favourite things to do when it is blustery, snowing and just downright cold outside is to snuggle up with a pet or two, or even when the children were toddlers, and have a snooze together.  This is what these two friends are doing.

Today’s card is featuring Friends Snooze, paired with Friendship.  Both of these stamps are from High Hopes Stamps “Winter Friends” Release.

After stamping the image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured it and then used a Double Stitched Oval Die to cut it out.  Using the same die, I cut another oval shape from some matching cardstock.  Using the Nuvo Glitter Accents Fresh Snowfall, I had some to the pine needles in the image, the trees on the design paper and some below the oval shape on the design paper.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Friends Snooze – TDG013, Friendship – FDG023 — Winter Friends Release from High Hopes Stamps

Hello Winter

Welcome Everyone;

Now that the rush of Christmas has come and gone, it is now New Year’s Eve.  No doubt it will be a quiet one for people, but still celebrated as for saying good bye to 2021 and hello to 2022.

For my last card of the year I have used BearMountains and paired with Hello Winter stamps from High Hopes Stamps.  These are all from the Woodland Winter Release.

After stamping them all on copic friendly paper, I coloured them with copic markers.  The mountains were stamped 3 times amd each one was also coloured with copic markers.  They were all fuzzy cut  and the outer edges touched up with a Tsukenko Memento Tuxedo Black Marker.  I created the mountains, by adding multiple layers.  White Blizzard from Nuvo Glitter Accents line was added to the mountain tops.  The enamel dots and a snowflake finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:

Seasons Greetings

Welcome Everyone;

With Christmas just two weeks away, houses are becoming festive with all the decorations on the lawns and front doors of houses.  One of the more traditional Christmas Decorations is hanging a wreath on the front door or a wall and is almost as essential to decorating for yuletide as setting up a Christmas tree and it turns out, that the two traditions come from the same place.

For today’s card, I used the Wreath stamp paired with the sentiment Seasons Greetings, both from High Hopes Stamps “Woodland Winter” re release.

After stamping the image on Copic friendly paper, and colouring it, I cut it out with a pleated circle die. I also cut a wreath from a Wreath die and some Christmas Glitter paper from American Crafts, and laid this off to one side of the pleated circle wreath. Some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter was added to the wreath, and some ribbon and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  Wreath – TDG012, Seasons Greetings – FDG010 both from High Hopes Stamps “Woodland Winter” re Release

Happy Holidays……

Hi Everyone:

Sneak peeks are awesome and such great teasers.  Who doesn’t want to come back and see some more.  Yes, I have another “sneak peek” from High Hopes Stamps for today’s card.

Yes, I did something different this time.   This stamp is called Penguin Tag and is meant to be a tag.  Instead of making it into a tag, I decided to make it into a card.  After stamping it on copic friendly paper, I coloured it Copic Markers and used the Peekabook Squares Die to cut it out, which was mounted onto some red mulberry paper.  A few dabs of the Zig Wink of Stella – Clear was added to the mulberries around the candy canes.  Some ribbon, Novo Glitter Drops – White Blizzard, Ribbon and enamel dots finished it off.

As this stamp is actually a tag, it can be used in multiple ways: — a gift tag that can go with any type of present, gift bag, wine bag etc.  You get the idea…………….right multiple uses.  Yay!

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Penguin Tag – SDG003, Happy Holidays – FDG003
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP – North Pole Trading Co., – Photoplay, Mulberry Paper – Red
  • Copic Markers:
    • N8 – Neutral Gray No. 8, N7 – Neutral Gray No. 7, N6 – Neutral Gray No. 6
    • C0 – Cool Gray No. 0
    • YR30 – Macademia Nut, Y35 – Maize
    • G14 – Apple Green, G16 – Mistletoe
    • R46 – Strong Red, R29 – Lipstick Red, R27 – Cadmium Red
