Welcome HH Fans;

Now that Christmas is over, it is time to get back to normal as much as possible, and to start making non-Christmas related cards.

As my birthday cards stash is rather low, for today’s card I have created a birthday card using Norman Goat from High Hopes Stamps.  Rather fitting for the crotchety males in my family.

After colouring the image with Copic Markers, I use the Double Stitched Rectangle Die to cut it out.  I used  Antique Linen Distress Ink to add some colour to the white areas.  Some twine and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Norman Goat – R105 and Bold Happy Birthday – F087 both from High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Antique Linen Distress Ink
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP:  PhotoArchive – Scrapberry’s
  • Copic Markers:

Sweetheart Gnome

Welcome HH Fans;

As today, is the start of a brand new year and here’s wishing that it will be a better one.  For today’s post I have made 2 different versions of the same stamp — a Happy Birthday and Love You card.

I paired the Sweetheart Gnome with the Mini Sentiment Sets #1 both from High Hopes Stamps for two different cards.

After stamping the Sweetheart Gnome twice, I coloured each one with different Copic Markers.  They were also cut out using different oval dies and inked around the edges.  Some ribbon, enamel dots and peel offs finished off these cards.

Happy Birthday

Love You

A little bird…..

Hi Everyone;

Friday is here again and what’s more it’s a long weekend.  This means that there is more time to spend with family as well as more playtime.

This week I went outside of my comfort zone and dug out other dies besides circles, squares and ovals, a cloud stencil and some distress inks.  It has been a long time since I have used these and it is time to use and play with them again.  Oh the possibilities.

For today’s card, I have used the adorable Gotcha and a Bird Told Me; both from High Hopes Stamps.

After stamping and colouring the image with Copic Markers, I cut it out using an distress edges die.  Using a mini cloud edges stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Ink, I created some clouds that didn’t quite come out as I was expecting them to.  I definitely need some practice.  The extra grass is from another die that has been unused for a very long time.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Gotcha (R115), Bird Told Me (F251) — High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink – Salty Ocean
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP – Perfectly Plaid – Spring & Spiffy Speckles (both from Lawn Fawn)
  • Copic Markers:
    • YG07 – Acid Green, YG06 – Yellowish Green, YG05 – Acid Green
    • E40 – Brick White, E41 – Pearl White, E42 – Sand White
    • N0 – Neutral Gray No. 0, N1 – Neutral Gray No. 1
    • YR07 – Cadmium Orange, YR04 – Chrome Orange
    • Y04 – Acacia, Y06 – Yellow, Y08 – Acid Yellow
    • Other:  YG01 – Green Bice, YG03 – Yellow Green
  • Dies:  A2 – Distress Edges (Spellbinders); Spring Meadow (Cottage Cutz)
  • Stencil: Mini Cloud Edges (My Favourite Things)

Happy Belated Birthday!

Welcome back HH and OCS fans;

We have all done it, forget or be late with someone’s birthday.  So to add to my birthday stash, I have a Happy Belated Birthday card for today’s post.

Today’s card is 5 1/4′ x 4 1/2′, a size that I haven’t used for a really long time and I’m happy with how it turned out.

To obtain the decoupage effect, I stamped the Pansy Arrangement from High Hopes Stamps twice on XPress It Blending Cardstock, and coloured them both with copic markers.  I cut one using the Scalloped Die and the other one only the main flower arrangement was cut out and mounted with glue dots.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Pansy Arrangement (R014), Happy Belated Birthday! (High Hopes Stamps)
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo BLack
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP – Really Rainbow (Lawn Fawn)
